Job board listings are posted for free for current Museum and Business Members of KMA as a benefit of membership. Postings are also available for non-members for $50 per post. As of January 2019, the Board of Directors of the Kansas Museums Association voted unanimously to require that any jobs or paid internships posted to the KMA job board listings include the level of compensation (annual salary range or hourly wage range.) Unpaid internships must include that fact in the posting. This policy is adopted in support of the recommendation of the National Emerging Museum Professionals Network and the Mountain-Plains Museums Association. It is the belief of the Board of Directors of KMA that salary requirements for employment listings provide transparency for both candidates and employers and will help standardize procedures across the museum field.

Job board listings are added to the KMA website, where they are usually left up about 6 weeks unless we are asked to remove them sooner. They are also sent out in our weekly Muse News email which comes out on Wednesdays OR our monthly Exchange Newsletter which is published on the last business day of the month, and those emails are cross-posted to Facebook.
