The Kansas Museums Association is pleased to announce that we will be hosting an academic poster session at the annual conference on November 4-6th in Atchison, Kansas.
This is an opportunity for graduate and undergraduate students to share their research with peers and museum professionals across the state.
The Poster Session is an exhibit of Poster presentations with an academic focus. Each presenter makes brief remarks and answers questions to those who are circulating in the room. The format proves an introduction for people who have never presented at a conference or who want to present new research.
Posters efficiently communicate concepts and information to an audience using a combination of visuals and texts interacting with views in an informal way. Presenters will stand by their posters throughout the poster session to offer information and engage in dialogue with conference attendees.
We are looking for engaging, innovative, creative posters that address the following issues:

Poster presenters are required to register for the 2026 KMA Conference. There is a student rate for conference registration and registration scholarships are also available. Conference registration and scholarship applications will open in August - visit the KMA website for more information.
