Disasters can threaten collections, facilities, operations, and the communities that cultural organizations serve. In this interactive workshop, participants will use the Pocket Plan tool to begin building a practical disaster plan tailored to their organization. Learn the essential elements of emergency planning, identify potential risks, establish response priorities, and develop strategies for protecting staff, volunteers, visitors, and cultural resources. Participants will leave with the foundation of a customized disaster plan and practical next steps they can continue implementing after the conference.
