Eligibility To access the members-only section, you must be a current KMA Individual, Museum, or Business Patron Member. Each Museum Member can list from 1-4 Individual Members under their organization's membership depending on their membership level, and Business Patron Members can list up to 2 Individual Members under their membership. Membership is good for each calendar year and opens in January. More information and the link to join or renew your membership can be found here. Setting or Reset Password Once you have joined or renewed your membership, we will create a user profile for you on the website. When your profile is ready, you will receive an email:From: Kansas Museums AssociationSubject: An administrator created an account for you at Kansas Museums AssociationThis email will have a link that you can use ONE TIME to set your passwordClick the link in the email which will display a page, and then click the button on the page to log inYou will land on your Member Directory page. Set your password by typing it into the password box and then type it a second time into the box below to confirmScroll to the bottom and push saveIf you want to view the members-only section once your password is saved, scroll back to the top and click view, then click return to members areaUser profiles are generally done about once a week, so if you need access faster, want to check your access status, or lost your initial email with the one-time link (they do sometimes go to spam!) contact the Assistant Director - select "website" from the topic list.If you have already logged in before but you need to reset your password, click the reset your password link under the login box. If you receive an error, you probably have not logged in before so the website doesn't think there is a password to reset. Contact the Assistant Director - select "website" from the topic list - and you will receive a one time link to set your password.If you don't receive an email, your membership might not be current. Contact the Assistant Director - select "website" from the topic list - to check. Logging In The one-time link emailed to you to create your password will only work once. What will appear is a menu on the right under member login where you can access:Members Area: This is where you can see and access all of the available members-only resources, plus a button to access the Museum Directory which is a listing of all current KMA Museum and Business Patron Members. Museum Directory: If you are the designated person in charge of your museum's Museum Directory listing, you will also see your museum's name at the bottom of the Members Area page under Your Museum Listing. See more about editing your listing below.Member Directory: This is a directory of all current KMA Individual Members with contact information so you can reach out to collaborate or ask questions.Members-Only: KMA Awards: This page contains the link to apply for KMA Awards when they are open (roughly July - September of each year.)Members-Only: KMA Grants: This page contains the link to apply for KMA Grants when they are open (roughly July - September of each year.)Members-Only: KMA Conference Scholarships: This page contains the link to apply for KMA Conference Scholarships when they are open (roughly August - September of each year.)Members-Only: Cheryl Collins Legacy Scholarships: This page contains the link to apply for Cheryl Collins Legacy Scholarships when they are open (roughly April - June of each year.)Members-Only: KMA Conference Registration: This page contains the link to register for the KMA Conference when Early Bird registration is open (roughly the month of August.)Edit Your Account: This is where you can change your password, edit your address information, or change your museum affiliation. Museum Directory The Museum Directory is a listing of all current KMA Museum Members and Business Patron Members. It is searchable, can be sorted by name, county, or city, and is viewable by the public.Only one person from your organization has access to edit the Museum Directory listing for each museum. Generally they are the person listed first on the KMA membership application for your museum. Log in to the members-only section via Member Login on the homepageYou will know if you have access to edit your museum's listing if you see your museum's name at the bottom of the Members Area page under Your Museum ListingTo edit, click on your museum's name, then click editThere you can:Add a text summary describing your museum, hours, etc.Edit your museum's address informationAdd phone, fax, or email information if you chooseAdd or change social media linksAdd or change a main image for your museumAdd or change a gallery of images for your museum Make sure to scroll to the bottom and save when you are done! Member Directory The Member Directory is a searchable way to find the contact information for current KMA members. Early Bird Conference Registration To register for the KMA Conference and receive the Early Bird discount (when available - it runs roughly the month of August):Log in to the members-only section via Member Login on the homepageOn the menu on the right, click on Members-Only: KMA Conference RegistrationScroll down to the button that says Register for the 2025 KMA Conference and click on itIt will bring up the registration form for the conference for you to fill out and submit Award, Grant, and Scholarship Applications Current KMA membership is required to apply for Awards, Grants, and Scholarships.When these applications are open, they will be shown on the right menu after you have logged into the members-only section.
