Join us for a one-week, high-engagement professional development program for fundraisers, directors, board members, and others who are looking to sharpen their skills and thrive in today’s funding landscape. This program is tailor-made for cultural and arts organizations, public and private, large and small, including museums, historical societies, libraries, art centers, historical and preservation societies, and other similar organizations, from throughout Kansas. Beginners welcome.
This is a professional curriculum that balances the strategic with the practical and adds a good dose of fun. Each day will include lectures, brief readings, case vignettes, hands-on learning exercises, assessment tools, social and networking periods, and the unique challenges and opportunities found in each organization and community. Major topics to be covered include organizing for successful fundraising, planned giving, major gift solicitation, and creating an annual development plan. Click here for a sample itinerary.
The cost for the one-week book camp is $250.00 (this fee does not cover most evening meals or lodging). The deadline for registration is August 1, 2016. The class size is limited to 20 participants.
