Ruth Ann Rugg is Executive Director of the Texas Association of Museums (TAM). She has served in this capacity for six years, directing an association of 725 members statewide. An established museum professional with three+ decades of leadership experience, she is well versed in museum operations and knowledgeable about the challenges facing museums today.

John Burchill is the Associate Professor of Criminal Justice and the Chair of the Division of Social Sciences at Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina. He is a member of the Kansas Humanities Council Speakers Bureau, a historian and a popular presenter at the Smoky Hill Museum and other area locations. He’s also the author of Bullets, Badges & Bridles, a book about horse thieves and the societies that chased them.
