KMA Opens 2014 Nominations for Museum Awards
Kansas Museums Association (KMA) awards are used to recognize excellence, innovation and distinguished service within the Kansas museum community. Nominees should be associated with KMA or an individual member. Deadline: September 30, 2014.
- Award of Excellence – Given to an institution whose project or achievements are worthy of special recognition. Example projects: exhibitions, films, programming, oral histories,bicycle tours, or collections care. Example achievements: increased attendance, enhanced public access, or community leadership.
- Technology Award – Given to an institution that demonstrates a creative use of technology. Example projects: digitization, innovative use of social media, online videos,exhibition features, mobile device applications, or interactive kiosks
- Graphic Design Award – Given to organization for superior graphic design. Nominee maybe a museum or organization that produced graphic design in support of a museum project. Examples: posters, flyers, brochures, gallery guides, or banners.
- Distinguished Service Award – Given to an individual whose achievements are worthy of special recognition. Eligible recipients include staff, volunteers, or advocates.
Award recipients are asked to send a representative to accept the award at the 2014 KMA Conference Awards Luncheon on Friday, November 7, 2014. The awards luncheon will be held at Ramada Hotel & Conference Center, 1616 W Crawford St, Salina, KS.

KMA Award Nomination Form
The nomination form must be sent electronically by September 30, 2014. Nominations may also be submitted by emailing a Word document with answers to the questions found on the form.
